Life is Worth Celebrating

Capturing the Beauty of the Moment

Photography is my favorite creative outlet. Before digital came on the scene, I always had my point and shoot with me, capturing everything from high school spirit days to family weddings. Into adulthood, I worked tirelessly trying to create and run my own photography business. After working a full-time job in marketing during the week, I would spend every extra moment on the weekend shooting weddings and family portraits. I will forever be grateful to Larry Stanley and Lauren Brown, two professional photographers in Bozeman, Montana who took me under their wing. After moving back home to Washington state, my goal was to make photography my main gig - my main moneymaker! I quickly realized making this happen was going to be a lot harder than I initially imagined. I didn’t enjoy marketing myself and found the business side of running my own business very daunting!

Now several years later, I am thankful that I have found balance. I am working full-time in marketing and use my photography skills occasionally in my job. In my spare time, I focus on spending time with my family and capturing my 8-year-old son as he grows. Every now and then, I say "yes" to a photography project that is near and dear to my heart, but for now, my primary focus is on me and my family. Not overcommitting myself and keeping things simple is my new career goal!

NOTE: Although I am not currently accepting new clients, this website is my creative outlet to share and display my favorite work over the years! If you are interested in collaborating or know of local non-profits or small businesses that are making a difference in our community, and need a photographer, please contact me. I donate my photography services several times per year.
